Abe reached a new goal...

For almost two years, Nick and I have been trying to help Abe learn to pedal a bike. A few weeks ago, on a monday he came to us and said, I am ready to ride my bike! So that night, for FHE, we fixed up a "new", but used, two wheeler, and put training wheels on it, and helped him get going! He was slow to get it, and quit before the night was over. But, to my suprise, the next morning he woke up and told me he was going to ride his bike. Here he is that morning, actually riding his bike by himself, for the very first time! I am so proud of him!

Summer Fest 2011

The Orem City Summer Fest is always a favorite of mine :) The fact that it conincides with my birthday each year, is an added bonus! Who doesn't love fireworks for their birthday? This year was especially fun, because Abe was big enough to ride some of the rides :)

Here he is on his favorite motorcycle ride...
On the roller Coaster with new friends William and Leah
Getting to ride down the big slide all by himself!!

It's blury, but can you see the fist pump in the air! He was so happy :)

Ezra was just happy to be there! As usual :) He's such a happy baby!

My favorite part? Getting to share one of my favorite rides with Abe...

Nick was there, but for some reason we didn't get any pictures of him stuffing his face with tiny doughnuts...mmmmm, tiny doughnuts...I don't know if I can wait til next year for those ;)

James Graduated

At the end of May, my brother James graduated from Orem High! He was also one of 5 students in his class to receive his Associates Degree from UVU! He's pretty awesome that way! Now he has moved onto bigger and better things, such as BYU :) He's living on campus, and just became his wards Sunday school president. Most importantly, he's now preparing to serve a mission when he turns 19, in December. :) We are so proud of him, and all that he is doing!

Congratulations James! We Love you!!

Trying to get back on track....

The last few months have been nothing short of CRAZY!! In May, we tried to go on a family trip to the Sand Dunes, that resulted in a terrible accident on the three wheeler. I was the only one on it, and had a bad sprained ankle, that is still giving me trouble. Then, on June 2nd, (Ezra's 1st birthday), we moved. In the last month, we have had girls camp, youth conference, and a YM super adctivity, plus a family reunion. Throw in a few birthdays, holidays, and 2 sick kids, and you will begin to understand the crazy....So, now that I feel a little bit back to normal, I will try and catch up a bit...stay tuned...

So here are some pictures from Mother's Day at the cemetary. Ezra and Rulon are exactly one month apart, and it's so cute to see them interact :)

Aren't they so cute?

Our Judy

I am having a hard time...Nick is gone...He is delivering our Mazda3, Judy, to someone else. I know this is going to sound really trivial, and silly, but I am having a really hard time letting her go. It doesn't help that Abe has been crying off and on all day, "I want to keep OUR car, I don't want her to go to someone else!". It's been emotional. Is it just me, or do some of you become emotionally attached to your vehicles? I know it's just a "thing", but somehow, it became a part of my life.
She joined our family, new off the lot, in Las Vegas, with only 3 miles on her. She was ours, and we were her first family. She has been the vehicle to take us safely on every vacation. She has brought both of our boys home from the hospital. She drove in a procession in Ellen's funeral. She has been dependable every day, and carried me through all those rough days, when all I needed was a drive, and some good music. She was always fun, and because she was zippy, and cute, that somehow made me a little zippy, and maybe even cute :)
Now, I have nothing. Not even something to replace her.
I am sad....

I will miss you Tank Booty JudyRight before Nick left with her

Sad....

We gotta sell her... For 5 years, she's been the best. So, if you know anybody looking for an awesome little 2006 hatchback, our Judy is the one!

Abe's gotta go....

He isn't sharing a room with Ezra anymore.... and everyone is sleeping better....maybe because I'm not finding them like this anymore...I must be the meanest mom in the world.... Who wouldn't want to see their kids get along so well? I guess a mom who is sick of missing nap time.... and wants to sleep all night long ;)

In January We....

Took a road trip to Arizona with my sister Tiana. It was awesome! 2 ladies, 4 kiddos, and 12 hours in the car! I don't have many pictures of the car trip, but we did get to take a favorite of mine! All of our kids at my favorite rest stop/ gas station in Beaver :)Aren't they so cute!while in Arizona we visited the Mesa Temple visitors center. It was fun, but....playing on the lawn out front Abe thought was more fun :)
plus it was super warm out ;)Ezra cut his first 2 teeth while we were there...I think this was as happy as he got!We did some shopping at the outlets, and got Abe and Sariah new sunglassesthey are such good lil' posersand, on the last day of our week long adventure, we let it be superman and supergirl day!! funny that these kids are growing up a whole state apart, and yet they are so similar.

Finishing up 2010

So, I am a slacker...I guess I like to update my blog a quarter of the year at a time :)

Here is Halloween. We had a family theme. Abe really wanted to be superman, so we chose our costumes around that. If you can't tell, Nick is clark Kent, Tallie is Lois Lane, and Ezra is Lex Luther. We had a lot of fun this year!
Next Up is Abe's birthday! He turned 3 this year, and HAD to have a superman party. It was fun, with only a few of his best friends. I maybe went a little over board, but it was soooo much fun...since I love superman too!

Isn't he so cute! I just love this little guy!
Mom and Ezra at the partyAbe and Ez
We don't have any pictures of Nick's birthday, or Thanksgiving, which means we skip straight into...
Christmas!
Aren't they so cute in their christmas jammies!Christmas morning all of us piled into our bed! I loved it...It reminded me of when I was a kid. All my siblings and I would sleep in the same room...most of us in the same bed! There were a lot of presents, but I think the best ones of the day were our new nerf guns! We spent all afternoon playing a family nerf war! (of coarse while Ezra was alseep) We ended our day at the movies as a family! Abe loved the movies, and still asks to go back.
The very next day was my brother Paul's mission farewell. We were able to sing in church as siblings again, which we haven't done in years! I love being related to such talented people! He entered the MTC Dec. 29th, and made his way to Sweden a week ago! I miss him terribly, and Abe misses him more! We talk alot about missionaries, and what they do, and how he can be one when he gets older! In return, Abe talks alot about when "he is 5 Uncle Paul will come home, and take him on a mission"...he doesn't quite get it yet! ;)

We miss you Paul! LOTS OF LOVE!
