Mesa, AZ May 2009

We got to go to Mesa, AZ and spend memorial day with my Dad and his family this year!
They were awesome, and we had a great time!
We went to the Pheonix Zoo...and sweated to death!
The whole gang
Brynn, Nick, Dad, Laurel, Tallie, Menleigh Abe
The whole gang again
Minus me, but with Patricia
The monkey village let us get up close and personal
The Elephant was my favorite
Cute Menleigh pushing Abe
We also got to go visit Nick's cousins Clark and Rachel!
Abe found a new love...THE DRUMS!!
Clark was a good teacher! Thanks for letting us come hang out!
When it was all said and done, we drove home.
But we decided to go the long way through Vegas and see the Hoover Dam.
Nick looked so cool driving...LOL

The Beautiful Hoover Dam
This is the new bridge they are building to get the drivers off the dam.
P.S. Never drive that way on a holiday... With so much traffic, it took us about an hour and a half to go 5 miles through the hoover dam...
Almost not worth the veiw...almost...
We had a wonderful time, and are sad we don't live closer to our Pops and Honey, but thanks for letting us stay with you! We Love you all, and miss you already!

Sand Dunes Spring '09

The Palmer clan tries to go the sand dunes twice a year. Once in the spring, and once in teh fall. Last year, we didn't make it out in the fall, so we were all anxiously awaiting for our spring trip! We went the second weekenbd in May, and the weather was perfect!! You can't beat spring at the sand dunes! This wasn't Abe's first trip, but last year, he spent 90% of his time in a back pack on mom, so this was his first real sand experience...and WOW! Was this kid born for the sand dunes! After 5 seconds he felt right at home!

Flying his first Kite

I know this pic is bad, but it shows how red his eyes were after rubbing them all day with sand...and what a happy smile he still had!
Around the campfire....It was too bright so Grandpa Craig had to wear his sunglasses!!
Silly Grandpa!

MORNING!!!
Don't they look cute in their Vests? Abe's actually belonged to Uncle Dustin

His Beautiful Helmet! He wore it most of the day on Saturday!
Going for a ride with Dad!
Too much Fun!

Laying in the sand with Rhett! Told ya...right at home!
Cute little guy in his helmet!

Lookin' cool on the way home in the bus...

but he didn't last long....The poor Little Lamb.

We had an awesome time this spring, and we can't wait to do it all over again in the fall!

Colorado May 2009

We went for our yearly trip to CO this month, and it was a good time! We ate good, laughed alot, and Nick and I even got in some thrift store shopping! Nick, Craig, and Jaris also built a storage room while we were there this time!
From the outside Looking in the door

The beautiful built in shelves

From the inside looking out

The kids had a "good" time. Abe and Joel spent most of the time figuring out what bugged the other one. There was a little bit of crying...but all in all a good time was had by all!

Right before we left, Abe and Joel gave each other hugs goodbye. So Cute!

This was the nicest Joel and Abe were to each other the whole time!

Thanks Marcie and Jaris for opening your home to us! We had areally good time, and we hope to do it all again next year! We Love You Hansens!

Mothers Day 2009

My Mom
Melony Sue Galloway Hinkson
What can a girl say about her own mother? I love her more than words can say. I think after you become a mother yourself, you have a huge appreciation for what they did for you...and how they feel about you! I know now, more than ever, that my Mom loves me unconditionally! That she truly sacrificed so much for me! I am grateful that she is such an amazing grandma! Abe loves her like crazy! I am glad we live close enough for them to build a lasting relationship! I love my mom so much, and I don't know what I would do without her in my life! She is amazing! Thanks Mom....FOR EVERYTHING!!
My Mother In-Law
Ellen Spencer Palmer

We had the terrible misfortune of losing Ellen in 2007. But her influence will last for eternity! I am grateful for the kind of mother she was to Nick. He is an amazing man, and I owe it all to her! She was a woman of great wisdom, and I miss talking to her about all the trials of this life. I wish she was here to talk to about Abe. He is more Nick than anything...and sometimes I am at a loss as for what to do with him. I know she would have some great words of inspiration, and comfort. She would let me know how to handle the craziness, and what, (if anything) worked for her. I miss Ellen so much, but I am grateful that I was able to have such a wonderful mother in-law! I love you Ellen!

To all you other Moms, (and women for that matter!), out there that influence me on a day to day basis, YOU ARE AMAZING! Thank you for helping me become a better parent every day! Thank you for inviting me to play group so that I will get myself out of the house! Thank you for being understanding when my Toddler acts insane. Thank you for continually supporting me, and being my friends! Whether you are family or friend, I love you all!

Walking in Daddy's shoes

On Sunday the 19th Abe got a hold of Dad's shoes after Church!
He was so proud of himself for being able to walk in Daddy's shoes!
I was proud too, for more than one reason. I hope that Abe will be able to grow up to be as awesome as his Dad is! I love Nick, and I hope that we can help Abe be as amazing as him!
He's alreadypretty handy with a screwdriver, and loves anything on wheels! I hope we can avoid some of Nick's onry side, but I guess I'll have to take the good with the bad!
WE LOVE OUR ABRAHAM!

p.s. Everytime Abe sees a camera now, he says "CHEESE!" and makes this face...Thanks Elmo!

A Bad Idea

It's a bad idea to give your child an ice cream cone while in the car...
This is what happens! It doesn't matter that it was a kiddie cone from the Arctic Circle, and tiny!!
We had to take the whole seat out of the car, and clean EVERYTHING!
But, WOW, was that boy happy!
