This one's for you Abe

Warning...This one is long, so scroll down to the pics if you want to....LOL

I have been having a lot of Mom moments lately....I am sure this sounds like old news to you veteran moms, but for me, a first timer, I am enjoying each and every one of them. I know there are a few people who I love to tell, and who love to hear them...but maybe you would all love to hear about them...and maybe realize you too are having your own moments...

I was driving down the street when I came to a Red light. I stopped, and a woman walked past my car. She was about my age, maybe a little younger, and was pushing a stroller. Now, I don't know what this woman was doing, or where she was going, but she looked upset. I don't know why she was upset, maybe it was just because it was warm outside...I don't know, but for me it was a moment. Watching this woman walk aross the street, pushing her stroller, I realized I couldn't see the baby. I didn't see her look at the baby... Then it came...this is why you didn't want children before...(p.s. I didn't want kids untill after Nick and I were married) In this picture, the stroller was an accesory, what was inside was an accessory, and a crying baby, would be a pretty annoying accesory. Maybe that is why some moms think their kids are getting in the way of their own lives.....So that was it....My Mom Moment. Not just because I realized why it took me so long to want to have kids, but because I know that I love Abe for the person he is. He has his own attitude, which I have to deal with every day! He is such a HUGE part of my life.

So this one is for you Abe....

Thank you for becoming the happy baby that you are today! I know we had a few rough months when you first came to this life, but we made it through!

Thank you for your curiousity! I love that you are an explorer of all things right now!
Thank you for being entertained by handy manny! It helps Mom get some things done during the day!

Thanks for puting up with a mom like me...who loves to be close to you...even though you are the type that needs his space....LOL!

My beautiful boy! Thank you for being you, with all your ups and downs, you have made this life of mine more enjoyable than I ever thought possible! I love you! Thanks for everything!

Happy 26th Tallie!

Yesterday was my 26th birthday! It was a great day! We first went swimming with our friends Karen, Max, Cole, Ashley, and Mylie. Sadly we ave no pictures of that, but it was a real good time! Then Abe and I had some quality time till Dad came home, it was nice. We went to dinner at Red Lobster...YUMMY! Here are some pictures of our evening there.

Then Nick gave me my presents, which, way to go Baby..you did Awesome! And we watched P.S. I Love You, which he gave me, I cried...but it was well worth it! I loved the movie! I did have a family party on Sunday, and Monday some friends went out to dinner with us at Tepanyaki, with Cake and Ice cream after! It was a great year for me! Thanks for a Fantastic birthday everyone!!

Abraham is 6 months old!!!

Our little Abe is 6 months old as of 5/26/08!

We are so happy to have this funny guy in our lives!! He now smiles whenever Nick comes in the room, and cries when his Daddy leaves him...so sad, and yet so cute! He is getting more and more communicative every day, and likes to show us all his emotions! Finally can sit by himself, and also is weeks away from crawling! He gets so close...it's frustrating for all of us!
The stats are in....
06/02/08
Weight : 18 lbs 14 oz (75%)
Height : 26 and 3/4 in (75%)
Head: 42 and 1/2 cm (25%)
p.s. I weighed him after the nurse left, when he was dressed...and he was 19 lbs 5 oz....more like what I thought he would be.... so close to being out of his infant carrier...scary!

This is from today. So smiley, even after his shots! We are so lucky to have this sweet boy!
WE LOVE OUR ABE!
